PRW helped pioneer Cross in Western Canada if not the whole country.  That is a bold statement that we can truly back up.  We don't just stock Cross bikes seasonally, we stock them year round.  Come see our wall of frames from Ridley, a selection that is unmatched in Canada.  Our typical Cross build starts at about $1800, it is at this price point we feel the bike is durable enough for its intended use. You can purchase Cross bikes for less but our experience is they will not stand up to Cross racing or riding. Also when shopping for a Cross bike remember it is NOT a substitute for a Mountain Bike. You can ride it on trails if you have the skill to do so. That being said the frame, fork,wheels and braking power is not intended for this. If you want to bomb singletrack and roots, buy a MTB.

The most dominating Crosser of the decade helped design the Prestige and continues to crush on it. Carbon not in the budget ? Focus - Three-time cyclocross World Champion Mike Kluge created Focus bikes in 1992 and the first time it rolled out a bike was a Cross race. The second time it rolled it won a World Championship, not bad. Personally the coolest team they are sponsoring for Cross is the Rapha-Focus Team, that is merely due to the nicest kit in Cross.
