Our goal at PEDALHEAD ROAD WORKS is to bring to the consumer the finest in specialty bicycles. From Road Racing to Time Trials we strive to offer the best in performance bicycles available today. It is not by chance that five out of the six lines we carry are ridden in the Protour. The brands we carry are selected for there quality, craftsmanship and tradition.

Some common things to consider when looking at bikes are:

- What are you using the bike for ? racing, time trials, tri, fitness riding.

- Do you have any injuries ? back problems, knee issues.

- What did you not like about your last bike? too big, too small.

- Size ? This is the biggest one. Just because you are a 52 cm frame in one company does not mean you will be in every company. There are no standards in how a bike is measured so you could be a 52 cm in one brand and a 49 cm in another. To complicate things further some companies size small - large. Whatever size you think you are be sure to be properly measured for your bike. You should never buy a road bike without being measured and properly fit, these elements are crucial in enjoying your bike and preventing injuries.

- Do you need to test ride a bike ? In a perfect world the best way would be to take each bike out for a month of riding in all terrain's. A 15 minute ride around the block does not tell you anything about a bike and I would challenge anyone to disprove that. The best way for us to help you choose your bike is by watching you ride the bike in our Fit Jig. This way we can make adjustment while you ride because the most important thing is a properly fit bike.

- What part should I put more money into ? The most important part of a bike is fit, then frame, wheels, drivetrain.

We can help you answer these questions and any others you may have. One important thing to remember is buying a bike should be fun !

GIANT BICYCLES
- Giant's Compact Road concept is simple and effective:Make the top tube slope downward to the seat tube, thereby shortening the seat tube and seat stays for a lighter, stiffer frame. The result is a frame that accelerates like no other, with an overall frame weight that blows away a conventional frame by pounds, not grams. If you want proof watch the boys from T-Mobile pedal it up the climbs in the Tour De France.
